Usually we are running around like crazy. This morning, for example, I gave report at work, drove to Brooklyn to get my daughter from her dad, then up to Harlem for ballet, then back to the Bronx. Between the joint custody, school in the city and weekends that get filled up quickly, my daughter and I never have time at home for normal family stuff. Today after coming back from ballet, we played with her Easter stuff (she was with the ex in SF for Easter) and snuggled while watching some TV. I actually made lunch AND dinner. We are rarely home for 2 meals in a day. The girl from down the hall came over and ate with us and now they are in her bedroom playing. I wish this was my normal. To have this day means I haven’t slept since yesterday morning. Worth it. I’ll sleep well with my little one tonight.
